How an order from JP Machinery is prepared, packed and sent, and what happens between the order confirmation and the delivery. It sits alongside our Terms & Conditions and Refund & Returns Policy. Where this page and your order confirmation disagree, the order confirmation governs.
There is no standard delivery time
We publish no delivery time, and that is deliberate. It depends on the part, on the production partner's schedule for it, and on the route and customs formalities of the destination. Lead time is therefore confirmed for each item and stated on your quotation, and any date is confirmed in writing in the order confirmation. If a date we have already confirmed has to move, we tell you as soon as we know rather than at the point you chase it.
How parts are supplied
We hold no parts of our own. Each part is sourced for your order against the part number you give us, and it is dispatched by the production partner that makes it. That is why a single order can arrive as more than one shipment:
- Split shipment. Where the parts on an order become available at different times, we may send what is ready instead of holding the whole order back. You are told when this happens, and the remaining parts follow as they become available.
- One order, one set of documents. Each shipment carries its own invoice and packing list, so a split order does not leave you unable to clear part of it.
Packaging
Parts are packed in neutral packaging. Nothing on the outside identifies the end user, the machine or the contents beyond what the carrier and customs require. Your contact details are not passed to the production partner and are not printed on the shipment: correspondence about the order comes through us.
Carriers and documents
Export shipments go out by international carrier (DHL, FedEx, UPS) with tracking and full customs documentation for the shipment. We do not act as importer of record.
Duties, taxes and customs
Import duties, taxes, customs clearance charges and any other fee raised by the destination country are the buyer's responsibility and are not included in the price of the parts. Where a shipment is held, returned or destroyed because those charges were not paid, or because information required for clearance was not supplied, the costs that result are the buyer's.
When the shipment arrives
Please check the shipment against the packing list on arrival. Report any shortage, wrong part or transit damage to sales@jpspareparts.com as soon as you find it, and keep the packaging and the carrier's paperwork until the matter is settled — a transit claim cannot be pursued without them. What we can do about a shortage or a wrong part is set out in our Refund & Returns Policy.
Where we deliver
We quote for delivery to the address you give us. If we cannot arrange a shipment to that destination, or if the terms for it have to be different, we say so before you place the order rather than after.
