2. What data we collect
- Inquiry data: company name, work email address, and any message you send through our contact form, catalog request form, or live-chat widget.
- Account & order data (only if you buy through our store): name, company, billing/shipping address, phone number, and payment references.
- Technical data: IP address, browser type, and cookie identifiers, collected automatically when you visit the site.
3. Why we collect it and our legal basis
- Consent — sending you the catalog, quotations, or marketing where you have opted in (GDPR Art. 6(1)(a)).
- Contract — processing orders and quotes you request (Art. 6(1)(b)).
- Legitimate interest — securing the site, preventing spam, and analytics of site performance (Art. 6(1)(f)).
4. Cookies
We use strictly necessary cookies to run the site and to remember your cookie choice; these do not require consent. With your consent we also use analytics cookies (Google Analytics 4) to understand how the site is used. Analytics cookies are requested only after you accept them — if you choose "Essential only", no analytics request is made. You can choose "Essential only" or "Accept all" via the banner, and change your choice at any time via "Cookie Settings" in the footer.
5. Who processes your data, and why
We use a small number of service providers, each of them for one job, and each bound by a data-processing agreement where one is required. They are listed here by name rather than described generically, because a policy that says "our providers" tells you nothing you can check:
- Our website hosting provider. The servers this site runs on necessarily process every request to it, including the IP address the request comes from.
- Google Analytics 4 and Google Tag Manager (Google Ireland Limited / Google LLC). Site analytics, and the tag-management service that loads it. These run only if you accept analytics cookies; see section 4.
- 3CX. The live-chat service behind the chat button on this site. If you start a chat, your message and whatever contact details you give in it are handled through 3CX before they reach us. Using the chat also means 3CX's own privacy notice applies to that conversation, alongside this one.
- Our email provider. The mailbox that receives your inquiry and sends you the acknowledgement and the catalog link.
- Shipping carriers — only if you order. A carrier receives the delivery address and the contact details the shipment needs, and nothing else.
- Payment providers — only if you order. The payment is processed by the provider you choose, under its own terms and on its own systems.
We do not sell your personal data, and we do not pass it to anyone for their own marketing. A provider receives your data only to carry out the job named next to it above, or where we are required by law to disclose it.
6. International transfers
As a cross-border supplier, your data may be transferred to and processed in countries outside your own (for example, between the EU and our operations in China). Where required, we rely on Standard Contractual Clauses or equivalent safeguards.
7. How long we keep it
- Inquiry and catalog-request records: up to 24 months after last contact.
- Order and invoice records: as required by tax/accounting law (commonly 7 years).
8. Your rights
Under the GDPR (and similar laws), you have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, and port your data, and to object to processing and withdraw consent at any time. To exercise any right, email sales@jpspareparts.com. You may also lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.
9. Children
This site is a B2B resource and is not directed to anyone under 16. We do not knowingly collect data from minors.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. Material changes will be posted here with a new "Last updated" date.
